PHEAA Offers Free FAFSA Workshops

College Bound High School Students, Parents and Counselors to Benefit from Application Guidance, and Scholarship Drawing!

The Philadelphia Regional Office of PHEAA will offer free instructional programs on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at several locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Attendees may register to win a $250 FAFSA Form Completion Scholarship Drawing at each workshop location. Four winners from the Philadelphia region will be announced on May 17, 2006.

Completing and submitting the FAFSA is the first step students and families must take to determine eligibility for federal grants and other financial assistance programs such as the Pennsylvania State Grant awards.

Lucent Technologies Bell Labs Internships

Full-time students will be considered from any four or five year, accredited U.S. college or university. Students must have at least a 3.0/4.0 and be enrolled to return as a full time student following the internship.

JPMorgan Chase/UNCF Corporate Scholars Program
 
Eligible Requirements:
- Undergraduate Sophomore (Classification)
- 3.0 GPA
 
Majors: Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science/MIS, Software Engineering, Marketing, Operations Management

- UNCF Member Colleges and Universities, Selected HBCUs and majority institutions (participating schools)
 
Internship Locations: New York & Chicago

Internship Details: The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and JPMorgan Chase have partnered to provide rising juniors enrolled in baccalaureate degree programs valuable work experiences with JPMC as well as financial support during the following academic year. Successful completion of the 8-10 week summer internship makes one eligible to receive a need based scholarship up to $10,000.
 
Sites may be in JPMC locations in New York & Chicago. In addition to completing the online application, students must provide an official transcript, resume and faculty recommendation.
