February 2006 CCBC Preparatory Reading BEING OBIDIENT & TRUSTING THE LORD IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES Back   TEXTS: Genesis 11:27 through 22:19 Mark 10:17 through 10:31 Luke 14:25 through 14:33 John 15 John 21:15 through 21:17 TASKS: Read each text and: 1) discuss what commands you have received from God as a family. 2) discuss whether or not you have been obidient in all circumstances and if not, why not. 3) Identify in what ways have you fallen short/been disobidient and relied on yourself/the world rather than trusting and waiting on God (ie: how has disobidience manifested in your life and relationship?) 4) discuss and commit in writing to a family plan with at least three specific ways you can obey God's commands/calling for your family and include at least three specific ways that you as a family will resist the temptations to be disobidient so that you can trust God in all circumstances without wavering.
